ABOUT THE CHALLENGE

The Trilogy Ocean Challenge consists of three groundbreaking open water swims, two of which have never been completed before.

THE SWIMS:

  • False Bay Crossing | 33km: December 2024
  • Dassen Island to Robben Island | 53km: February 2025 (Never before completed as an open water swim)
  • False Bay Double Crossing | 66km: March 2025 (Never before completed as an open water swim)

MEET THE SWIMMERS

Chris and Peet are both ambassadors of the South African Hall of Fame Legacy Project at Pretoria Boys High School, and we stand behind their commitment to empowering youth through education and sport.

Chris Oldnall

Chris is a deputy Headmaster (Sport) at Pretoria Boys High School and an extreme-distance endurance athlete. He has competed in Iron Man, triathlons, and open water ocean swimming challenges, with his most recent adventure being the return swim from Big Bay to Robben Island with Peet.

Peet Crowther

Peet is an avid adventurist with a passion for open water swimming. He has completed the English Channel crossing, and many international open water swimming challenges, with his most recent adventure being the return swim from Big Bay to Robben Island with Chris.
