About
The Legacy Project
The bursary and youth development platform of the South African Hall of Fame Trust built to help talented children with limited resources access meaningful opportunity.

Who We Are
A platform built for access, support and long-term opportunity.
The Legacy Project was created to support children whose potential is clear, but whose circumstances may limit access to the kind of educational and developmental opportunities that can change the course of a life.
As the bursary and youth development platform of the South African Hall of Fame Trust, it provides a focused vehicle through which funding can be directed into meaningful, structured and accountable support.
The aim is not simply to sponsor a child for a period of time. The aim is to help create the conditions in which talent can be recognised, supported and developed.
Why We Exist
Talent is everywhere.
Opportunity is not.
Across South Africa, many children with extraordinary promise face barriers that have little to do with ability and everything to do with access. Financial pressure, uneven support structures and limited opportunity can prevent talented learners from stepping into environments where they could thrive.
The Legacy Project exists to help bridge that gap built on the belief that meaningful opportunity should not be reserved for a few. With the right support, access and guidance, young people can move beyond survival and into growth, confidence and possibility.
What Makes This Different
More than a
bursary programme.
The Legacy Project is designed as a broader support platform, not a once-off funding intervention. What makes it distinctive is a commitment to a more holistic model of support one that recognises that real opportunity is strengthened through the wider ecosystem around a learner.
That is why The Legacy Project is positioned not only as a bursary platform, but as a youth development platform combining financial access with the support, guidance, belonging, structure and development that turn a sponsorship into a future.
